The difference between SoD and nearshoring
With Managed Services, Consist provides you with leeway by means of responsible application and system management across all technologies. This is done on a pragmatic, individually scalable, and always transparent basis.
Consist’s years of experience give you the security you need. The difference between “Managed” Services and conventional services is the focus on a “true”, controlled, and managed handover of responsibility. This is ensured among other things by the Service Manager, who represents and monitors your interests throughout the process.
Consist offers you two basic concepts for your special management needs: Service on Demand and nearshoring.
- SoD services are primarily characterized by their individual and flexible on-call capabilities. Consist staff generally works remotely from Kiel, Germany, often at special times – nights, weekends, and holidays. SoD can include both development and administrative services and is primarily used for the management of applications and system landscapes.
- Nearshoring services are primarily characterized by their cost-effective hourly rates. Nearshoring staff work, with some exceptions (handoffs, steering meetings) remotely from Romania, including stand-by duty, where necessary. Nearshoring generally consists of development services, but sometimes also includes support. Nearshoring is usually used for the handling or reinforcement of development matters with coordination provided by German Service Managers.
