IT User Group Northern Germany
The IT User Group Northern Germany (IT-AK) was formed in 1996 from the former regional organization of Schleswig-Holstein of adi e.V. It is an industry meeting to provide a platform for the exchange of information, both between IT providers and between IT providers and IT users. Participants include managers of IT providers as well as medium and large users in the region.
For simplicity's sake, the IT-AK isn't formally organized, but is furthered by the initiative of individual IT managers in the region. The events are free of charge for participants. The program includes presentations, usually with 2 or 3 speakers from users and providers, on current topics. There are also organized trips to users and an annual fjord outing on board the historical fjord ship "City of Kiel". Since 1996 many events have already taken place.
The organization of events is done by Consist Software Solutions. The IHK at Kiel supports the IT-AK by, among other things, regularly providing the large conference room in the IHK building in which most of the presentation events take place.
Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences
Students of the University of Applied Sciences Kiel and staff at Consist Software Solutions receive practical content in shared symposia.
The instructors are provided by Consist Software Solutions. Consist Software Solutions also supervises work-study and diploma theses from regional colleges and universities.
