The screencast on the right shows you the simple, intuitive operation of the ICD application.

The Start menu provides direct access to all significant functions, such as full-text search, favorites, and history. The icons at the bottom edge of the screen can be used to call up additional functions if you are already in a sub-item.

The "ICD Picker" can be used for fast coding of available codes. The index wheels in the lower part of the screen can be used to select any combination of the first three digits of codes. The top window shows all the places they are found. Clicking on a code drills down into its actual content.

ICD Professional contains the entire coding system. All areas (sections, subsections, codes, instructions, etc.) can be paged through according to their hierarchical structure.

Each ICD code is shown with detailed information on coding instructions, inclusions, and exclusions.

The search function can be used to combine one or more search terms with AND and OR functions, and includes an automatic diagnosis thesaurus.
