Brief info
The Vessel Event & Reporting System – VERS – proactively connects all the information related to maritime processes, such as e.g. exact ship locations, ship arrival times in ports, required logistics for unloading / loading, services and transport ashore.
VERS offers an individual event management based on relevant information. Processes are activated just in time, and data forwarded ensuring an optimal integration of the maritime transport and value chain.
Integration Solution VERS
VERS is equipped with a web interface for both the Event and Report Configurators. The event services for process management and information forwarding run on a central server. The integration of processes and information is based on modern web service technology, or via direct data access. The access to legacy applications or databases is supported by Attunity Connect. VERS may be complemented by CertiWare ensuring secure communication with full authentication and encryption functionality.
Functionality
The Event Configurator links events and processes.
Service offering related to AIS
When it comes to the topic of utilizing of AIS data (AIS = Automatic Identification System) or other positional data, we offer a variety of services and products. By integrating these services, you can use this data within your custom applications.
Display of positional data
Positional data can be displayed in real time on vectorized sea charts. The user of such an application can zoom in and out on arbitrary sections of the chart. Distance measurements, automatic notifications (trigger services), and searches for particular ships in the database are possible.
As a "smaller version" of this solution, you can also receive finished bitmaps with ship positions, for instance for integration into your Web site.
Customized access to positional data
Your IT applications query the position database according to your criteria. The database then responds with the desired data, which you can use for your own business processes any way you like.
Trigger services
If a ship reaches a particular geographical area such as the mouth of a river, a port entry, or a lock, a trigger signal is generated. These signals can be received via SMS on a mobile telephone, or by email. Moreover, they can be integrated into your own software.
Legal context
Particularly when using AIS data, the statement of purpose of the IMO (International Maritime Organization) and national legislation (Telecommunication Law, Federal Data Protection Law) must be observed.
