On October 22, 2016 in Berlin, Kiel-based IT company Consist Software Solutions was awarded a plaque of honor for the renowned Germany-wide "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes" competition. The company was already a winner in 2011 and was nominated again this year for the "Premier", a coveted special award.

Kiel – Consist Software Solutions was honored on October 22, 2016 at a festive gala at the Hotel Maritim in Berlin, with a plaque of honor in the 22nd competition for the "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes 2016". It recognizes outstanding performance and is awarded as one of the Germany-wide special awards in the competition. "We are enormously satisfied with this recognition in the competition for the most significant German business award," explains Consist Managing Director Martin Lochte-Holtgreven. "Our entire staff can be proud of this award, because we work together every day for the success and further development of our growing company," says Martin Lochte-Holtgreven.

Consist was an award winner in 2011 and a finalist in 2009 in the "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes" in the Schleswig-Holstein/Hamburg competition region. Just as in 2015, Consist was nominated again this year for a Premier special award and made it to the jury stage. Now in 2016, Consist was honored with the plaque of honor.

In the "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes", a total of 4,796 small and medium businesses as well as communities and banks from more than 1,400 institutions friendly to medium businesses are nominated throughout Germany. After the regional ceremonies in Dresden, Düsseldorf, and Würzburg, which featured the awards for finalists, award winners, the most business-friendly communities and banks from 16 German states, on October 22, 2016 the special awards, including those for the "Premier" category, were awarded in Berlin to complete this year of competition.

About the nationwide significance of the "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes"

The "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes" is awarded every year by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation (Oskar-Patzelt-Stiftung). In addition to figures, it also assesses criteria such as innovation, jobs, and the company as a whole and in its role in society.

The Oskar Patzelt Foundation was awarded the German Federal Cross of Merit in 2008. Since 2011, the Oskar Patzelt Foundation has been the only business competition in Germany with a quality management system certified compliant with DIN ISO 9001:2008.

In 2012, the "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes" was included in the Top 10 Best list of German participants in the "European Enterprise Promotion Awards" of the European Commission.
