Participation in the 2nd benefit regatta by the UKSH
Consist is on board: Segeln gegen Krebs (sailing against cancer)
A Consist team is sailing at the 2nd benefit cup "UKSH setzt Segel gegen Krebs" (the UKSH is setting sail against cancer) on September 20, 2015 in Kiel-Schilksee and also promoting the sport and exercise activities for cancer patients at the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein by means of a donation. The donations and the proceeds from the benefit sailing regatta will go towards further expansion of the activities on offer by the Campus Kiel.
Kiel - Consist Software Solutions is supporting the 2nd benefit cup "UKSH setzt Segel gegen Krebs". The Kiel-based IT company is providing its own team for the benefit regatta on September 20, 2015. The regatta is a triangular course off the Schilksee coast. This special cup is being organized by the UKSH's (University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein) Freunde- und Förderverein for the promotion of sport and exercise therapy at the Comprehensive Cancer Center North. On top of the starting fee for regatta participants, Consist is also supporting this good cause by making an additional voluntary donation. The full amount of this will go to the charitable association "UKSH Wissen schafft Gesundheit e. V." and thus also the "Krebs-Sport-Therapie, Kiel". In this way, Consist is supporting the most important sport and exercise activities for cancer patients at the UKSH with a total sum of 600 Euros.
About the event "Segeln gegen Krebs"
The benefit cup will be held on 28 foot sailing yachts, each with a skipper and a 4-man crew. The cup begins as from 9am and will be supplemented by a land program on the grounds of Kiel University's Segelzentrum (Sailing Centre). The comprehensive program for this event includes specialist presentations about nutrition, cancer therapy, research and sport, as well as accompanying trips to the races, information booths and games.
