Consist is once again among the first places at this year’s Boss of the SOC by Splunk

Kiel – At the Boss of the SOC 2018, Consist and Sony delivered an exciting head-to-head race, which Sony managed to win in the final few minutes, placing the Consist team in a close second. This was basically the American group’s revenge against the IT company from Germany, because last year it was the IT giant which took second place to Consist.

What is the Boss of the SOC?

At the Boss of the SOC (also known as BOTS), security scenarios are depicted with the leading operational intelligence platform, Splunk. The participating analysts solve the IT security incidents, which arise in a realistic but fictitious enterprise environment. The teams, which compete against each other, aim to get as many points as possible in a certain time period, in a capture-the-flag style activity. This type of competition has mainly become well-known from hacker conferences.

The next BOTS is now eagerly awaited, at which there may be another shift in leadership.
