Participation in the 5th UKSH Benefit Cup
Consist on board to sail against cancer
Consist will be supporting the "UKSH setzt Segel gegen Krebs” campaign on September 23, 2018, with a sailing team and a donation.
Kiel – Like over the past few years, the Consist is entering its own sailing team for the benefit regatta "UKSH setzt Segel gegen Krebs" (the UKSH is setting sail against cancer) on 9/23/2018 in Kiel Schilksee. On top of the regatta’s starting fee, Consist will also be making a voluntary donation to support the cause, bringing the total to 500 Euros.
18 teams will sail in the 5th Benefit Cup in support of sports and exercise therapy at the CCC North. The Kiel campus offers its oncology patients various sports and exercise options that will be further expanded by dona-tions and the proceeds from the benefit regatta. By participating in the Benefit Cup, the crews make a contribution towards being able to provide patients at the UKSH with an extended range of offers during and after cancer treatment.
The event includes a colorful program with activities on land for adults and children, a presentation about sports and exercise therapy at the UKSH, as well as accompanied regatta cruises.
