Splunk again confirmed as the leading software platform for IT Operations Analytics

Almost a third of the world's IT operations analytics are running the software Splunk. This is the result of the current market report of the International Data Corporation, the international market research company for information technology. According to the IDC report, the exact market share of Splunk is 28.5 percent. Where does this success come from?

San Francisco - Kiel - Today's IT is moving in the field of ever-increasing heterogeneous data volumes and frequently changing demands on the IT environment, due to dynamic business processes. According to this the IDC report states, “The company [Splunk] achieved rapid growth driven by expansion in log management and analysis capabilities. The number of data sources, data volumes, and use cases con-tinued to expand driving increased customer adoption. Splunk has invested in solutions for Hadoop, mobile, real-time wire, and security. Splunk supports pre-packaged content and visualization for a variety of use cases including IT operations and APM. This is making Splunk-based analytics available to an increasing variety of IT and business users.”

Analytics technologies are advancing
Flexible analytics technologies are becoming increasingly important for business-critical processes. On the basis of automated log and real-time data analyzes the effort for error and threat search is greatly reduced.
