Consist makes a donation to the "UKSH hilft Ukraine" campaign

Kiel-based IT service provider Consist Software Solutions has donated €4,000 to the "UKSH helps Ukraine" campaign.

Kiel – Consist Software Solutions has donated four thousand Euros to the "UKSH helps Ukraine" campaign via the UKSH Freunde- und Förderverein (UKSH WsG e.V.) association. "For us as a company, practicing social commitment is an obvious part of our Corporate Social Responsibility. This is why we have been supporting various charitable organizations and campaigns over the years by means of company donations," said Consist Managing Director Jörg Hansen. Once a year, Consist makes a company donation to a charity. The team at Consist conducts a survey to determine which organization will receive the money. For 2022 the staff at Consist chose the Deutscher Kinderschutzbund Ortsverband Kiel e.V. to receive a donation of €4,000 in May. In light of recent events, the staff at Consist voted that the company donation for next year should be brought forward and already go towards helping people in and from Ukraine.

In previous years, Consist’s company donations have gone to the Tafel Kiel food bank (2021), the Kieler Förde hospice (2020) and the Mach Mittag campaign (2019).

About the "UKSH hilft Ukraine" (UKSH helps Ukraine) campaign

The University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) has cooperated with the Ukrainian Ministry of Health for several years and, as the second largest university hospital in Germany, has professional medical expertise in economics and supply, plus it is currently organizing – even under these difficult conditions – aid deliveries to Ukraine with its "UKSH helps Ukraine" campaign. In addition to the starting donation fund by the UKSH of €50,000 to help people in and from Ukraine, the UKSH has also set up a donation portal for monetary donations. More than €752,000 overall (as at 3.30.2022) has been collected from over 1,450 individual donations. The third UKSH aid transport set off for Ukraine on March 31, 2022.

A UKSH task force including Ukrainian senior physician, Dr. Hryhoriy Lapshyn from the Department of Surgery, Campus Lübeck, the pharmacy, facility management, economy and supplies, change management and fundraising departments is ensuring that the full amount of the donations will be used where required and for the people in and from Ukraine. This includes important aid such as medication, medical supplies, medical technology, transporting aid goods and medical treatment services for refugees from Ukraine and assistance with integration in Schleswig-Holstein, through to opportunities for work.
